Arab Ministers of Education wrap up their VII deliberations Conference recommends effective employment of information and communication technologies in the development of education system
Closed on Sunday, their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Education closed the sessions organized by the Seventh Conference of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science, hosted by the Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Education, under the banner of post _basic education development and diversification of tracks and streams. He drew attention to consider teacher as a central part in every effort for the development of education, and to benefit from international experiences and implementation of a plan to develop education in the Arab world. He also marked the need for concerted efforts between Arab countries and ALECSO and civil society to improve attitudes of our Arab societies towards technical and vocational oriented education, emphasizing the benefits and avails of the strategy of talent and creativity in developing programs and projects for this category. Recommendations As the reporter of the Expert Committee introduced the recommendations that came out of the Seventh Conference of Ministers of Education, which resolved to invite the Arab States to implement the field of post-basic education (secondary) contained in the Plan of Development of Education in the Arab world in coordination with the Arab League, and the development of national plans to improve enrollment in the post-basic (secondary) according to the circumstances of each country.
The conference also recommended the development of mechanisms for propel and guidance to help students choose the appropriate path to their abilities and inclinations, and the development of technical and vocational education in the Arab world and strengthen and expand the horizons of higher education, and employment of effective information and communication technologies in the development of the education system and to work on establishing -Arab industry for education technologies.
Reference Guide the Seventh Conference of Ministers of Education recommended a number of recommendations to the Arab Organization for Education, Science and Culture invited to give special attention to the path of technical and vocational education, and coordinate the efforts of Arab States in the production of digital content and educational software, working in collaboration with the Arab states to establish a reference center specialized in this field. Final Meeting The second working session reviewed and discussed the final report of the conference, where Dr. Naif Al-Roumi Hashal Rapporteur-General of the Conference introduced the final report of the Conference.
