Definition of the contest:
It is a competition between the schools of the Sultanate to win the trophy of
His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman; a complementarily
competition emphasize learning environment in schools and the exercise of
co-curricular activities application and practice, taking into account pupil's
wishes and inclinations.
Axis themes of the competition
The competition themes derived from its name: hygiene and health and the
environment - so that all its activities and programs revolves around these
themes related directly or indirectly, hub of hygiene on all that has to do with
physical cleanliness, the cleanliness of the place, the cleanliness of the
environment in general, as well as what to do with hygiene morals in detail, and
the axis of health addresses all the aspects of physical health, mental health
and psychological health, positively or negatively, directly or indirectly, and
the axis of the Environment deals with all matters relating to environment and
cleanliness problems and challenges faced and its impact on the future of
humanity, and how to protect and preserve it, are addressed and activated
gradually according to the characteristics of each stage of the age of children
in the school.
Goals of the competition:
• Empower students to apply their acquired knowledge and scientific facts
associated with hygiene and health in a practical way in the school environment.
• The development of positive student attitudes towards hygiene and health in
the school environment.
• Inculcate the values of cleanliness and maintenance of the school environment
and attention to the health of students, and make it a standard of conduct in
general.
• Exchange skills among students through active participation in activities
related to hygiene and health in the school environment.
• Develop the capacity of students to assume responsibility, and self-reliance,
through active participation in the implementation of activities related to
hygiene and health in the school environment.
• Students develop sense of the importance of cleanliness of the school
environment, and care and maintenance of its facilities.
• To foster relationships between students through cooperation in maintaining
cleanliness and health in school environment.
• Establish ground for closer link between students, teachers and school
management through their cooperation in achieving hygiene in the school
environment.
• Strengthen cooperation between the school and community in achieving the
activities and programs of the competition
